22 Sep 2022 Day of Caring
Each year, a team of Path Resorts employees come together to join many other community volunteers during Granite United Way’s Day of Caring event. Day of Caring is a special opportunity for businesses to work together and give back to the community they consider home. Whether participants join to help for an hour or an entire day, their talents are put to work aiding in a wide variety of projects for non-profit agencies. Opportunities include animal care, painting, gardening, cleaning up local parks and so much more.
This year the regional dates for lending a hand in the Day of Caring ranged from September 5 – 12, 2022 with the Central Region’s Day being held on Monday, September 12th. A group of Path Resorts employees generously donated their time to assist with the removal of invasive brush at the Weirs Community Park located in Laconia, New Hampshire just down the road from the Summit Resort property. Wielding brush cutters, gardening gloves, weed whackers, and donuts to fuel the morning’s activities, the Path team got straight to work clearing out the intrusive shrubs covering the Weirs Park. Within just a few hours the park was cleared of the thick shrub and ready for visitors to relax and enjoy it.
Granite United Way is a New Hampshire based non-profit organization with the mission of improving the quality of people’s lives by bringing together the caring power of the many important NH communities. Along with the Day of Caring event, Path Resorts supports the vision of the Granite United Way throughout the year in a variety of ways: some employees opted in to donate a small portion of their weekly paychecks to the non-profit organization and Path employees have contributed to the Granite United Way’s cereal drives to support local children and families with food insecurities during these difficult times. We are honored to have such a supportive and giving group of workers who also deeply care for the local community.
