11 Sep Weirs Beach Daytona Fun Park
There are a few stops each family must add to their vacation to-do lists while visiting the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. One of our favorite vacation destinations is Weirs Beach located in Laconia, New Hampshire, just walking distance from our Summit Resort property. The Weirs has everything needed for a successful vacation: delicious restaurants, fun arcade games, a scenic railroad, lake cruises aboard the M/S Mt Washington and of course the wide sandy beach along Lake Winnipesaukee great for both swimming and relaxing. If you plan on visiting the Weirs Beach area, don’t miss out on all of the fun located at Daytona Fun Park, providing a variety of family-friendly activities that visitors of all ages can enjoy.
Daytona Fun Park is a family owned business located less than a mile away from the Summit Resort. The amusement park offers many fun activities for the whole family to enjoy for hours on end. If you have a need for speed, try out the Viper styled Go-Karts along the fast winding turns. The whole family will be able to race as the twisting track offers single seat karts for individuals over 54 inches tall, and double seaters, for passengers less than 54 inches. Feel the wind in your hair while enjoying a few laps around the beautiful wooded landscape.
If you are looking for more of an adrenaline rush, try out the high ropes adventure course! This outdoor ropes course is a safe climbing structure which the whole family can experience together. The course securely allows visitors to climb and explore rails, rope bridges and high wires and doesn’t pressure you with timing. Adventurers as little as 40 inches tall may traverse along the structures with the aid of a chaperone. View the Weirs from a whole different angle atop this challenging high ropes course.
The park also holds an eighteen-hole classic miniature golf course nestled along the edge of the natural wooded area. Featuring waterfalls, fountains, custom rock walls, footbridges and more, putt your way around the fun course for some friendly competition. With each hole either a par 2 or par 3, this course is a nice challenge for all ages with the possibility of achieving a hole-in-one on any given hole.
Other enjoyable activities at the park include water cannon equipped bumper boats in a large outdoor pool featuring a high fountain and platform squirting guns for even more water fun, five multi-speed batting cages for athletes of all levels with pitches ranging from 40 mile per hour to 70 miles per hour, flipping on the bungee jumper, a round of jumpshot basketball and a variety of indoor classic arcade games including air hockey. Daytona Fun Park is open daily from mid-June until Labor Day and remains open during the weekend through October.
